In the year of 42

I became a Jew

With furrowed brow

I say Oy Vey now

I pray to the retinol gods

Jealous of 20-something bods

Dress too young for my age

Still have plenty of road rage

Saw Bruce Springsteen rock

Got a boat but no dock

Started sporting glasses

Accepted the masses

Celebrated 11 years with Hubby

(we both got a bit chubby)

Felt hurt and taken for granted

Started a blog and ranted

Lived way beyond my means

Realized a few dreams

Joined Facebook

Still can’t cook

Became a fan of the Crimson Tide

Ohio accent still can’t hide

Licked my ER addiction

Voted in a big election

Changed my hair from long to short

Enjoyed plenty of giggle-snorts

Would turn back the clock if I could

But life is still very good.
