Swimming with the Fishes

A trip to the ATL is always good for the soul.

Hubby and I stay with Hubby’s Brother and Wife when we travel to the ATL. Fabulous people who admittedly spend more time babysitting their four grandsons than adventuring in their own backyard. (Which is perfect for when we come to visit because we all make the effort to see something we hadn’t seen before.)

On this trip, our destination was the Georgia Aquarium. However, the journey itself was just as fun. Brother’s GPS system has a sexy British voice, but confuses simple abbreviations (like saying Doctor instead of Drive). As we drove through the North Atlanta suburb of Buckhead, we happened upon an open house. A brand new construction $1.5 million dollar estate! It was just begging for us to snoop! Therefore, of course, we did.the-atl-001.JPG       the-atl-006.JPG

In the same neighborhood, we stopped at a yard sale and even purchased lemonade and brownies from four little girls taking advantage of the high traffic next door. (Props ladies)

The Georgia Aquarium is truly a cool place! If ever in the ATL, you must make it a stop on your tour.the-atl-013.JPG

Although we did not research this plan in advance and we were not aware of all of the amenities that were available at the time, we will return with the grandkids. We will be planning for the Pajama Party and have a sleep over among the fishes! No kidding! (

Afterwards, we found a great Mexican restaurant with a balcony for people watching. the-atl-021.JPG

While enjoying some tasty treats and tasty drinks, we watched the Prom Kids gather in front of the Hard Rock. the-atl-019.JPG

We finished up our tour with a horse and carriage ride and a stroll through Centennial Olympic Park.the-atl-022.JPG

Four adults adventuring through the ATL is always loads of fun. At the same time, four grandparents are always planning for a future adventure from an all new perspective. Stay tuned!
