SOLD OUT!

February 1st, 2010 · No Comments

Did you watch the Grammys? I watched just a bit. Enough to see some total sell-outs (and I say this with a heavy heart). First up was Elton John with Lady Ga-Ga. By the way, what the hell is a Lady Ga-Ga? Just a seriously unattractive woman in mardi gras make up? Please don’t show us your boobs. I’ve loved Elton since Madman Across the Water. What a shame.

Then there was Slash with Jamie Foxx. Why Slash? Why? Velvet Revolver wasn’t a big enough money maker? I took a cigarette break. Ugh.

Then, like on the Country Music awards, Taylor swift took down another icon. Last time she completely broke my heart by ruining (and singing with) Def Lepard. Pour Some Sugar on Me never sounded so…perverted.

Last night, it was Stevie Nicks. I am not crazy, that girl hit so many raw notes it was embarrassing! Stevie tried hard to help her out, but it was useless. I don’t care how much money Disney throws at promoting this girl, she CANNOT SING! My ears are bleeding. Then… then the topper… the ultimate sell-out that left me crushed and heartbroken… BUTCH!

Yes people. Had you paid close attention, you would have seen my love, my Butch, playing the banjolin for Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks. He actually got real tv face time and everything. He stood right next to Taylor, in the hat, jammin’ away. My Butch playing alongside the arch nemesis of true music. I don’t know what to say.

Like I have any room to talk. If I ever tried to sing a note, dogs from three counties away would howl.  I guess, when in the music biz, sometimes you just have to do what you just have to do. Whether it is to attempt to stay relevant or to just get your foot in the door.

Speaking of which, Boy is managing a lovely young lady who has passed the first auditions of America’s Got Talent and now will be moving on for the next round. I have already bought our tickets to see her perform this weekend. We certainly wish her every bit of luck and love and hope to be seeing her on national TV come the new season. Watch out Susan Boyle, Lee Anna Culp is making her debut!

(P.S. I will let you all know when your vote will be expected)
