Plenty of Facebookers have mentioned their christmas decorations already. I still think it is too early, but as we have a bigger house and a pile of new outdoor stuff I found at a yard sale months ago, I think I will begin earlier this year as well. Traditionally, my birthday “party” consists of the kids coming over and we all go tree shopping together. Then we decorate my tree together. Yes, I always re-do it after they have left and so it has become a family joke for the kids to hide stupid stuff in the tree for me to find after they have gone home. Last year, I recall a dirty sock hidden in there and the annual ugly fake bird. This year I mentioned to Boy that I was looking forward to not just one tree but three! His reply? “Oh boy that’s a lot of fake birds”.
