This past Labor Day weekend, I did a whole lot of nothing. Slept in a bit on Saturday then went out for a nice brunch and a stop along the way for some household sustaining supplies then returned home, changed into comfy clothes and did absolutely nothing else. And it was good.
I didn’t even take a long, steaming, hot shower for nearly 72 hours! Me? That’s crazy. I can’t remember the last time that happened, if ever. But that’s the kind of lazy do nothing kind of weekend this turned out to be. And it was good.
I sat in front of the TV and watched college football. I sat in front of the TV and watched movies. I sat in front of the TV and watched home improvement shows. I did a lot of sitting. I think my ass is now flat. I guess that’s good.
I didn’t consider any of life’s great questions. I didn’t stress over paying the bills. I didn’t plan any meals. I didn’t read any thought provoking materials. I didn’t even write a blog entry. And today, this is all I’ve got. A whole lot of nothing. And it is good.
